Special tooling not listed in our price list, can be manufactured according to your specifications
and will be quoted upon request. Special tools are non-returnable.
Our payment terms are net 30 days. Accounts in arrears are subject to both shipment hold and
production hold. Prices for special tools are subject to re-quote after 45 days.
Always contact our customer service department to obtain a " returned goods authorization number
( RGA ) prior to returning any material. All products must be in clean, resalable condition and in
original packaging. All tools returned for credit will be subject to a restocking charge.
We guarantee our products will conform to the specifications listed on customer blueprints, orders,
and quotation requests. Dimensions, specifications and tolerances not listed will be produced
to the current Castelar Tool Inc. manufacturing standards. Our warranty is limited to the
repair, replacement, or full credit for the tools found not to be within specifications, at our option.
Castelar Tool Inc. cannot be responsible for the performance of or compliance to
specifications, nor can we accept, for return, any tool that has been altered in any way by our
customers. This includes surface treatments, coatings, flats, tangs, markings, or any geometry
alterations.
Claims for shortages must be submitted to the company, in writing, within 5 days of receipt of
goods. Claims for shortages or loss in transportation must be settled between the distributor and
the carrier on F.O.B shipments. Our responsibility ceases when we have obtained signed
manifests from the carrier. We will do everything within reason to provide the distributor with the
information necessary to trace an order or process a claim with a transportation company. In the
case of prepaid shipments, damages must be noted on the receiving copy of the bill of lading.
Safety precautions should always be used when using cutting tools and should be used only to
perform functions that are compatible with the original tool design. Any cutting tool may shatter if
broken. Safety glasses and other appropriate safety equipment should be worn by all people in the
vicinity of cutting tools in use.
Sharp tools perform most efficiently. Economical and long tool life can be best assured by
replacing dull tools as soon as wear is evident.
DULL TOOLS SHOULD BE RETURNED TO CASTELAR FOR FACTORY RESHARPENING
